Schmitt’s has been a staple of the Long Island area for over 50 years. Their annual fall festival – held every weekend until Halloween – is one of the most popular ones on the island. Of course, you’ll find you-pick pumpkins, but you’ll also enjoy their corn maze, playground, inflatables, hayrides, farm animals, pony rides, and even a haunted mansion.
Schmitt Farm has hosted families to their farm for over 50 years. They offer a large selection of pumpkins in their u-pick pumpkin patch. From mini-pumpkins to jumbo varieties, you’ll have plenty to choose from at Windy Acres Farm’s you-pick pumpkin patch. You’ll also be able to pick your own veggies like eggplant, tomatoes and peppers and fruits such as peaches, apples, and nectarines, as well as a variety of berries. While you’re there, visit their farm stand for fresh fruits and vegetables, honey, and more. You’ll also find seasonal favorites like gourds, straw bales, cornstalks, candy apples, and mums.
