Summer is almost here, and for this guy, that means thinking about Long Island summer festivals and fairs. The island has so much to offer, and that’s put on full display every summer. This summer is especially exciting because things have really opened up, and it’s time to get back to the fun that Long Island summers always offer.

When the warm weather hits, we all know that means it’s time for fun on the water, at the beach, at campgrounds, and so much more. One of the best ways to enjoy summer, especially on Long Island, is by taking advantage of the many festivals and fairs that are offered throughout the summer months. This list is our guide to all the Long Island summer festivals, fairs, and events for 2022.
5th Annual North Fork Dock Diving Weekend
If you love dogs and beer, then don’t miss Greenport Harbor Brewery’s annual dock diving event. Now in its fifth year, the event features hundreds of dogs, all competing for the longest jump from the dock to the water.

Mattituck Lions Strawberry Festival
The Hamptons event may be called a strawberry festival, but it offers so much more. You’ll enjoy live music and craft vendors in addition to every conceivable preparation of strawberries.

Harbes Farm’s Father’s Day Festival

Empire State Fair
Held at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, this fair is as big as the iconic building from which it takes its name. Enjoy a circus show, exotic animal zoo, stage shows, and fireworks on Saturday night. It’s one of the biggest and best Long Island summer festivals, so don’t miss it!

Alive on 25

The Hampton Classic Horse Show
Horse lovers will love this festival. One of the liveliest Long Island summer festivals – literally – the Classic Horse Show is one of the largest shows of its kind in the country, hosting the world’s best riders as they compete for more than $800,000 in prize money. You’ll also find shops, international food offerings, tons of activities, and a children’s area.
