If you are looking to find out more about Long Island farmers markets, you’re not alone! The locavore movement, the COVID pandemic, and the drive for healthier food have all driven the trend. I think it’s fantastic! Supporting local businesses, good. Keeping the local food sources and supplies making great food items, good. Cooking more at home, good. Looking for better foods for ourselves and our loved ones, good again.

Long Island Farmers Markets To Visit
Ok, here are the markets you can check out. In 2021, Long Island has 37 weekly markets!! It’s a trend that’s growing and here to stay! There are markets all over the Island, so there’s likely one pretty close to your house. Most markets not only have a wide variety of goodies straight from the farm seasonal produce but a number of food products either from the farms or from local vendors. Think jams, artisanal bread, and pickles, for example! Many markets have live music, special events, and other entertainment as well.
Check out the local spots first and see what it’s all about! Then, venture out and make a day of it, checking out other towns and their markets. It’s not a bad way to spend your time, believe me. Plus, you will always come home with some really delicious goodies that you are going to love…all from your neighbors right here on Long Island! So get out there, have fun, and enjoy these great Long Island farmers markets!!!
