The coronavirus is on Long Island, like everywhere else, and so has a number of new options for Long Island Restaurants (Hamptons Restaurants, North Fork restaurants, Suffolk County restaurants, and restaurants in Nassau County) delivery and pick-up. This is the only way for these businesses to try to serve it’s customers and stay in business. I fear many will not be able to.
This is because as of 8:00 p.m. on March 16, all bars and restaurants in New York State have been ordered to close.
An Ongoing Effort
This is a list that will probably continue to change and evolve. It lists full-service restaurants that never offered Long Island food delivery or pick-up before. There are also delis, bakeries, wineries, coffee houses, breweries, meal services, and food delivery services.
I hope this is as complete as list as you can find.
I’ll break the list down by town since that’s likely the most important variable here. These are local places that will deliver locally. Plus, pick-up options should be close, too. Unless someone is bored and wants to go for a drive!
Food delivery on Long Island is experiencing some newfound importance. Good luck out there and try your best to support these local businesses in this unprecedented time of uncertainty and financial hardship.
